Sikh shrine in Pakistan sabotaged

A primary part of Gurdwara Rori Sahib in Lahore’s Jahman town fell down after heavy rain lashed the city over the past few days.

The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has requested the intervention of the administrations and Sikh take care on the either way of the fence to take care the hangs around of the shrine.

In Tach, Punjab, convener Brig Gen. Baldwin DER Singh (retd) spoke out the gurdwara is exclusively 1.5 km from the Indo-Pak boundary. “The shrine was already in poor condition due to the carelessness of authorities concerned. Neither of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee nor Pakistan administrations ever believed of preserving the tombstone. Currently, due to the recent rains, a big portion of the gurdwara fell down on Sunday. The overflowing water from a pond was bleeding into the construction,” he spoke out.
